Glove Interface for Noodle
Designed and developed a data glove interface for Noodle.
A gesture recognition engine was written in python to interpret sensor data from a 5DT data glove and a Flock of Birds tracker that is attached to the glove. This provides enough information to determine hand/finger positions and orientations.
The gestures were then carefully selected to define a set of simple yet orthogonal gestures to deal with model translation, rotation and rendering attributes. A context-sensitive menu system can be pulled up at any time to modify options given the current mode or selected object.
